Sculptures > This Land is All Too Shallow

This new rock fall is the first to include what geologists refer to as inclusions. Inclusions are older rocks that have been geologically cemented into newer rocks. In this case I have taken the shapes of my 26 stones (each corresponding to a letter in the english alphabet) and embedded it into larger stones. In this way I have embedded language and structure within language and structure.

This work was a private commission for a collector in New York.
