Sandmaker and Sandeater > Sandmaker

Screen printed from nine life-sized stencils created from my body, Sandmaker can be produced in a potentially endless edition that barely leaves a trace. The mass of screen-printed sand can be easily deposited and then removed. It turns the layers of color, that screen-printing is so apt at creating, into plateaus of sediment in the thrall of gravity and physics. It is landscape as self-portraiture.
